Attention to our own wellness, resilience and management of stress are key parts of our success and happiness in graduate school and beyond. Students, staff and faculty were asked to submit suggestions of resources that they have found helpful in their wellbeing efforts, and the responses have been compiled here, in the wellbeing resources hub. Please note this does not constitute an endorsement by the institution, rather it’s an opportunity to share information within our community.

Student Wellness

|

Our Well at Weill program is dedicated to student wellness and can be found here.

Students are encouraged to engage with the community through programs and activities run by the graduate school, GSEC and student clubs. For more information on student groups, visit Student Groups and Initiatives.

A collaboration between GSEC, ITS and the Medical Center Archives has created a live stream from the 25th floor Archives space, offering a southern-facing view of the Queensboro Bridge, Roosevelt Island, and Midtown Manhattan. This initiative was created in an acknowledgement of the importance of connection with the outside world, which is often made difficult by indoor work and weather. The live stream can be accessed here.

To discuss suggestions or personal challenges, reach out Dr. Judith Cukor, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs at juc2010@med.cornell.edu or see the website for the Office of Student Affairs.

Information about mental health treatment for students is available through Weill Cornell Medicine's Student Mental Health Program.

Faith-based counseling is available for students through our affiliated hospitals. Information about faith-based counseling and spiritual and religious care resources for various faiths is available through New York-Presbyterian's Department of Spiritual Care and Chaplaincy and Spiritual & Religious Care at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
