The establishment of the Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences began in 1912 with a cooperative arrangement between Weill Cornell Medical College (WCM) and the Graduate School of Cornell University. In 1950 Cornell University entered into an agreement with the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s research division, the Sloan Kettering Institute (SKI), for the purpose of offering additional opportunities for graduate study toward advanced degrees. In 1952, this alliance was formalized to establish the Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences (WCGS), a partnership between WCM and SKI. Today, WCGS offers six PhD programs and seven distinct Masters programs, including an EMBA/MS program.
