The Executive MBA/MS program at Cornell University is an intensive program that awards two degrees in two years: an MBA from the SC Johnson College of Business and an MS in Healthcare Leadership from the Department of Population Health Sciences at the Weill Cornell Graduate School. It is designed for leaders who want to acquire a broad grounding in business principles with a specialization in healthcare practice.
The curriculum consists of core courses for both the MBA and MS, a number of electives, and a capstone project for a total of 60 credits.
The capstone project, consisting of small teams of students working with an advisor, serves as a means to demonstrate your ability to address a real-world challenge by integrating the theoretical knowledge and perspectives you’ve learned in the program, integrate and core academic knowledge as it applies to challenges in real-world settings. Clients and projects change each year, but often include organizations such as:
- Biotech companies
- Pharmaceutical companies
- Startups
- Hospital systems
- Community health organizations
