    Alumni

    For our 202 graduates, after completing the program, success is measured by assessing career trajectories, peer-reviewed publications, and peer-reviewed funding. Our graduates have 4,111 publications and have obtained over $480 million in funding on grants on which they were either principal investigators or co-investigators. 68% of US-based graduates are either academic faculty or current trainees, and an additional 8% work in applied research settings. The Global Health Group has an additional 25 grants with $81 million in NIH/CDC funding and has had 28 graduates from Brazil, Haiti, Tanzania, Qatar, Nigeria, Kenya, and WCM; 92% remain at the partner institutions.

    Diverse Disciplines

    Our graduates, most of whom are physicians,  come from diverse disciplines including Allergy/Immunology, Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Cardiothoracic Anesthesia,  Education, Emergency Medicine,  Endocrine, Gastroenterology, General Internal Medicine,  Geriatrics, Gynecology-Oncology, Hematology-Oncology, Hospital Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Orthopedics, Palliative Oncology, Pediatrics, Pediatric Oncology, Pulmonary,  Psychiatry, Radiation Oncology, Reproductive Medicine, Rheumatology, Surgery, Urology, and Urogynecology. In addition, we have graduates from Nursing, and Clinical Pharmacology. Eight pre-and post-doctoral students in NHLBI translational health disparities programs have also graduated.
