Our Students
Our program enrolled its first students in Fall 2022. Graduates have started their professional careers in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical imaging, and healthcare sectors. Alumni have secured positions such as research associate, medical technologist, and radiochemist, contributing to research, technology development, and clinical operations across a range of organizations including Memorial Sloan Kettering and Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
Alumni of the program have continued their education at institutions such as Northwestern University and Washington University in St. Louis. Additional opportunities are available through PhD programs at Cornell University, including Biomedical Engineering and Biophysics, as well as at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in areas such as Cancer Biology and Cancer Engineering.
As a student who majored in Mathematics as an undergraduate, I was amazed by the quantity and quality of our lab experience. For instance, during our microscopy class, we were introduced to a different microscope or microscopy technique every lecture, and the following lecture would be a lab that let us actually see those microscopes. Moreover, during our nuclear medicine class, we also got the chance to see different PET, SPECT, and CT machines. These lab experiences greatly facilitated our learning.
Weill Cornell fosters a highly collaborative and supportive environment where students work closely with leading researchers and clinicians. The program offers hands-on exposure to both preclinical and clinical imaging, which allows us to understand how imaging discoveries translate to patient care. The mentorship here truly stands out — faculty members are deeply invested in our growth and career development.
