Assistant Professor of Medicine
Research

The Niec Lab investigates how dynamic communication between diverse cell populations can maintains tissue resilience or promote disease. By dissecting the intricate conversations between immune, stem, and stromal cells across tissues, the lab explores how these interactions govern mucosal homeostasis and responses to inflammation, injury and cancer. A central focus is on how tissue-level signaling networks and the lymphatic system coordinate immune responses.
