Dr. Unruh’s primary research focuses on the quality of post-acute and long-term care and the relationship between the level of physician reimbursements and the quality and cost of care.
Dr. Mark Unruh has a substantial background in research on complex ownership structures of nursing homes and the relationship between the level of physician reimbursements and the quality and cost of care. He also has expertise in the adoption and use of health information technology by nursing homes and other health care providers. His work in these areas has been supported by multiple awards from the National Institute on Aging, Arnold Ventures, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
Biography
Dr. Unruh completed his PhD at Brown University. He was a postdoctoral fellow in health economics at Harvard Medical School before joining Weill Cornell, where he has been a faculty member in the Department of Population Health Sciences since 2012.
