The Keshari Lab explores metabolic dynamics to develop novel diagnostics and therapeutic strategies.
Research

The goal of our research program is to improve our biochemical understanding of cancer metabolism and use metabolic changes to develop non-invasive methods for diagnosis as well as approaches to treat cancer. Our work takes advantage of multi-modality methods at all scales, with a special focus in hyperpolarized magnetic resonance, allowing us the ability to bring these approaches to the clinic.

Biography

Kayvan R. Keshari earned his bachelor’s degree in MCB-Biochemistry and Applied Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley in 2003 followed by a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 2009. He was appointed as an Assistant Member and Assistant Professor at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 2013. He now is Member and Professor and holds the Fred Lebow Chair.
