Biography

Francesca has over 10 years of experience providing cancer genetic counseling at Weill Cornell Medicine.  From the inception of her position at Cornell, Francesca has been pivotal in the development and ongoing management of the Clinical Hereditary GI Cancers Registry. This Registry is a multidisciplinary clinical program with the goal of prevention and early detection of cancer for patients with significantly increased cancer risk through ongoing case review, personalized care plans, and care coordination. 

Her work strives to constantly improve the overall health and longevity of individuals with hereditary cancer syndromes. Francesca contributes to several research initiatives, and she has served as a rotation supervisor, teacher, and research mentor for numerous genetic counseling and other healthcare provider trainees with the goal of building a well-trained medical professional community. Francesca previously served as an Adjunct Professor at Long Island University-Post within their Genetic Counseling Graduate Program, and she has also been invited to speak for various local, regional, and national conferences.
