Biography

Aubrey DeCarlo is the Assistant Director of Career and Professional Development at Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences. In 2014, she received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Lehigh University, where she focused on LGBTQIA college students. She was matched with Career & Counseling Services at the University of Houston-Clear Lake for her APA Predoctoral Internship; following this, Aubrey oversaw Health & Wellness Services at CUNY-Baruch College, before joining the Graduate Student team at the Wasserman Center for Career Development at New York University. In 2020, her work to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion was recognized with Weill Cornell Medicine’s Pioneers in Diversity Award, and in 2024 Dr. DeCarlo was named as a fellow in the 92NY Women inPower program.  

Dr. DeCarlo joined Weill Cornell Graduate School as the founding employee of Career and Professional Development in June 2018. Tasked with establishing and building out the office, Dr. DeCarlo provides tailored coaching sessions and dynamic programming targeting both academic- and industry-focused career paths; a certified Clifton Strengths coach, Dr. DeCarlo also offers strength-based professional coaching. She works with all PhD students and select masters programs.
